Guaranteed In Stock, Isn't

I learned a lesson this weekend. Lay and I were going to watch Starsky and Hutch Saturday night. I went to both Hollywood video and Blockbuster to get it. They advertise it at both places as "Guaranteed In Stock." Put that on very large letters on posters in the windows.

Well, its one of those "read the fine print" kind of things. Turns out it really doesn’t mean that they guarantee they will have a copy of the movie you want in stock. It just means that if they don’t, you can come back at another time (I presume one more convenient for them), and they’ll let you borrow the movie for free.

Never mind that because of Lay’s work schedule, Saturday night is about the only we can do things.

Oh well, as I said, read the fine print.
