Haliburton Continues To Be Paid

Just a day after deciding to withhold payments to Haliburton because they can’t seem to account for everything, the Army has reversed itself, and decided it will be okay after all.

According to an Army spokesperson, Halliburton has received extensions because there are not enough people in the government or at Halliburton to review the many bills the company has submitted, in part because no one anticipated how much work they would need to account for.

I guess this means if its a big enough contract, we just don’t worry about accounting for how the money is being spent.
