Soldier pays for armor
Army demanded $700 from city man who was wounded

The last time 1st Lt. William “Eddie” Rebrook IV saw his body armor, he was lying on a stretcher in Iraq, his arm shattered and covered in blood. But last week, Rebrook was forced to pay $700 for that body armor, blown up by a roadside bomb more than a year ago.

A field medic tied a tourniquet around Rebrook’s right arm to stanch the bleeding from shrapnel wounds. Soldiers yanked off his blood-soaked body armor. He never saw it again.

WHAT THE CHENEY!!!

Are you Bu$hCo creeps going to sue the estates of soldiers blown up in Humvees for repair costs? God help the families if their loved ones lost an Abrams!

Are you going to start charging soldiers for bullets for their guns?

Repugs have abused and neglected our armed forces to the point that unorganized irregulars can stand up to them, sending a message to other nations around the world that the US is a paper tiger led by a wimp. Yes – wimp. The Chinese alone have backed George down several times without firing a shot!

Republicans may no longer accuse Democrats of not supporting the troops. They will, but we know it to be false.
It’s clear that your ideas of ‘support’ are financial in nature. Families have had to spring for body armor for their loved ones because the Pentagon is too busy issuing no-bid contracts that aren’t even being fulfilled. Families are having to send food and water to Iraq, because both are regularly in short supply. I have even seen reports that toilet paper is in short supply there. Still. Today. After three years one would think that even a would-be world conqueror wannabe would finally get its act together.

But NO!

The world is laughing at you, George. There are a lot of things forming up that are going to hurt this nation badly, and from what I’ve been reading and trying to alert people about, are all set to begin triggering in late March-early April. We have now been put in a position where the other nations of the world can collapse our economy and there won’t be anything we can do about it. And – after decades of arrogant abuse from the representatives of the US – they will feel like they got theirs back.

We aren’t making our own bullets. At least twice that I know of, the Pentagon has had to issue emergency contracts because they are being used almost faster than they can be replaced. 250,000 (yes THOUSAND!) have been fired for every ‘insurgent’ killed in combat

But that’s apparently OK to Bu$hCo! Look at all the money they are making from the kickbacks they are receiving! Who cares about the lives of a few minions? It’s not like they are Pioneers or anything!

America! Get a CLUE! Your country is being destroyed by moronic zealots while you are engrossed in American Idol and Dancing With The Stars!!! They have gotten so blatant, that their own party members cannot pretend they don’t see any longer!!!

Act now – or you will wish you had! Throw these bums out while there is still something to save. Contact people like Arlen Spector and demand that the US Senate stop doing Bu$hCo’s business and get back to doing We, the People’s. Heed that call of Gov. Kathleen Blanco when she declares ‘It’s time to play hardball’

Get off your lazy ass and do something!

Or don’t you care about the lives of your family?
