A Stroke Of Marketing Brilliance

Not unusually, one of the pizza delivery companies decided they should distribute those door hanger tags with coupons throughout some south Tampa neighborhoods.

Not a bad idea you say? Well, usually not, except that some marketing genius had the brilliant idea not to have the tags hung on door knobs. Nooooo, instead he decided it would be just a grand idea to put the tags in big plastic Papa John’s Pizza cups, and ride through the neighborhood throwing them out in everyone’s yard.

When I called the store last night, I was certainly not the first person to have called with a concern about this practice. In fact, the store manager was most happy to give me the name and cell phone number of the marketing genius. I haven’t talked to him yet.
