Update on July 17, 2006

As you may have noticed, there have not been a lot posts over the past couple of weeks. For the past three weeks, I’ve been on very tight deadlines with a bunch of very large proposals. For the first pay period of July, I’d put 110 hours on the time sheet. That’s two weeks, and I probably didn’t record all the time.

I was incredibly tired as we went into the weekend. We had Lay’s nephews over Saturday for swimming. As usual, it was fun, but man they can wear you out. I made Pigs In a Blanket for them, They’d never had hot dogs fixed that way, and thought it was very cool. The youngest, 5 y/o Chase, made one of the funniest comments while were eating. All of sudden he says, “I talk too much.” Lay said, “You do?” And Chase came out with (so help me), “Yeah I talk the talk, but I don’t walk the walk.” We’re still laughing about that.

We saw three movies this weekend. Friday night we saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest; Saturday night we rented and watched the first Pirates of Caribbean, and Sunday night we watched “The Devil Wears Prada.”

A couple of weeks ago, I added a neat function to the blog I hope you’ll try out. Whenever I review a movie or book, I can add a little rating utility to the post, and you can select the number of stars you give the movie, and it will average them in and display the results.

Our annual family reunion is coming up next month, so I also printed, addressed and got Mom’s reminder postcards sent out. This will be 80+ consecutive years of the Border’s Family Reunion.
