Along with some of the great theories of how our universe works, Einstein is also know for some great insights into human nature. It seems, despite a depth of knowledge exceeding almost everyone else in human history, yet he is saying that knowledge has a limit. We can only know so much.

It is when we have loved greatly that our life is abundant. What does that mean. To me it implies passion. Not just passion for another person, that special someone, although that may be part of it. But it also means a great love for life and all the people that are part of our life…a passion for life if you will.

It really just can’t get any more obvious than this. Ms. Child is reminding that if we approach life and the people in our world from a place of love, then all the bad things in life really would go away.

It’s hard to find anything to question to disagree on with this quote by Child. It goes back to second greatest commandment of Christianity, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” As I’ve said before, we could throw out the entire Bible, and just try to follow those to greatest commandments, and not only would we be occupied for our entire life, but the world would be a much better place for everyone.
