North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory

There would be a lot of reasons for giving the Douchebag of the Day award to North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory (or as I like to call him, Governor McSquinty). HB2 would be one of the biggest, but you could also include his complicity with the rest of the Republicans running things in Raleigh in dismantling a once great system of public education. You could add on the fact that he’s bought and paid for by his sugar daddy, Art Pope, but we get to combine HB2 and natural disasters for this one.

A couple of weeks ago, as Hurricane Matthew was churning its way up the east coast of Georgie and South Carolina, bearing down on North Carolina, where it ultimately did the most damage, McSquinty was doing what he does best, and whining at a party of bigots. Continue reading »

DOUCHES_1Well, again, it just makes sense to give the award to a group, since they are conspiring together to return North Carolina to the 1800s. It seems that something was finally found to put the fear of God into the members of the North Carolina General Assembly about HB2…the NBA. Never mind jobs, reputation, economic growth…no, the threat of losing the All-star game brought them around…sort of. So  here’s to you Tim Moore, Pat McCrory and Phil Berger…you’re all Douche Bags.

What they have held a secret meeting to come up with is a change to HB2. They think a tweak will give the NBA cover to not more the game, and maybe this has even been negotiated with the NBA in advance. Let’s hope that the NBA isn’t stupid enough to have fallen for this papers to pee scam. Continue reading »

I’m getting tired of hearing about and talking about public restrooms. I don’t particularly like having to use them, but I’m sure thankful they’re there sometimes. I suspect most folks feel the same.

But alas, the public restroom is under attack. Where once one could go for some semi-private release, it’s now a place where evil-doers and gender-obsessed perverts lurk. Public restrooms are now symbols of doom and perversion. And who are these evil-doers and perverts? Well, Republicans of course. I know you didn’t think I was going to say transgender people. That’s who Republicans think it is, and boy howdy, are they obsessed that a female might grab a look at their little pee-pees I guess, and I can understand how that would be an embarrassment to them.

Not to mention the fact that, statistically, you’re more apt to have a problem with a creepy Congressman pervert in the bathroom than with a transgendered person. Think about it.

So, what they want you to think is that just made some minor tweaks to what they call the Charlotte Bathroom Bill. House Speaker Tim Moore, the rightful face of this mess, put a post on his Facebook page last night trying to ‘splain it all away. He starts with: Continue reading »
