I still can’t believe we didn’t lose power during yesterday’s visit by Jeanne. It flickered a half dozen times, but always came right back.

The news is much more bleak for a lot of people. According to this Yahoo News Report, nearly 2.7 million people are without power in Florida, and about 215k just here in Tampa. I know those folks who work on the power lines?are stretched thin, and they are clearly telling people it may take a while to get everyone back on. I can believe it. This time, they are having to bring in help from California and Utah.

A lot of major intersections around town don’t have their traffic signals working, so I’ll be trying to stay close to home, and off the main arteries when I do have to run out.
