Meet The Spartans – A Movie Review

The heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing by leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13–count ’em, 13!–Spartans to defend their homeland against the invading Persians (whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton–no one is safe when the Spartans take on the biggest icons in pop culture).

When going to see this movie if you accept that it is entirely slapstick comedy overloaded with silly humor then this movie really isn’t that bad. Although it took me a while to get into the movie, after a while it became somewhat entertaining. This isn’t the best movie of all time and I do not feel it will win any award of any kind. But, overall it was an entertaining movie. It’s along the lines of Airport, Epic Movie or Scary Movie. You just can’t expect anything other an attempt to cram in every possible joke, gag and innuendo. If you’re not prepared for that, don’t watch the move. Lay’s nephews thought it was hilarious.
