Damn Hurricane-Bush Cuts Vacation Short

Well, a couple of days after the hurricane hits New Orleans and does Billions of dollars in damage, W finally decides he can give up two of his vacation days to get back to Washington and help monitor the relief and recovery efforts.

Signing the bogus Teri Schaivo bill was important enough for W to fly back to D.C., but let the Gulf Coast get hit with a devastating category 4 hurricane, and Bush heads West to visit a Country Club and eat birthday cake with John McCain. I kid you not. I guess it remains important for him to keep on getting on with his life.

Given that he’s the spawn of Barbara Bush, this total lack of compassion and concern come as no suprise. Remember her comment? She doesn’t want to dirty her “beautiful mind” with the images of dead soldiers’ coffins.
