A divided Supreme Court ruled Thursday that local governments may seize people’s homes and businesses against their will for private development in a decision anxiously awaited in communities where economic growth often is at war with individual property rights…"

Just another fine example of the new ownership society that President Bush’s led America is all about. Corporate ownership I mean. Hell.. they need your house for that new parking lot. You’re hurting America if you don’t want to give it up. Traitors!

That reminds me of the story when Bush screwed a lot of people so he could build his stadium for the Texas RangersIn 1993, while walking through the stadium, Bush told the Houston Chronicle, "When all those people in Austin say, ‘He ain’t never done anything,’ well, this is it." But Bush would have never gotten the stadium deal off the ground if the city of Arlington had not agreed to use its power of eminent domain to seize the property that belonged to the Mathes familyread on

  1. I completely agree. This is just another move towards an authoritarian state where there is no more individualism. I live in New York, witha fair amount of land, that I enjoy because it’s there. What would prevent my little town from taking that land, dumping a bunch of crappy homes on the property, and ruininhg the whole ecosysytem? Nothing but the State Constitution, it seems, and Pataki would do away with that if he could.
BTW, what’s your family background? Same names…always curious about that.
