Honesty Pushes You Forward
Each time you are honest and conduct yourself with honesty, a success force will drive you toward greater success. Each time you lie, even with a little white lie, there are strong forces pushing you toward failure. –Joseph Sugarman
Joseph Sugarman attended the electrical engineering college of the University of Miami for three-and-a-half years before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1962. He then lived in Germany where he served with Army Intelligence and later with the CIA. In 1973, Sugarman’s company was the first in the United States to use the 800 toll-free service to take credit card orders over the telephone. This service was brand new at the time and had never been used for order taking purposes. His company, among other items, developed and sold Blu-blocker sunglasses.
I guess here Sugarman is basically saying that honesty is the best policy. He’s stating his belief that if you are truthful in your dealings with others, you will improve your chances of success.
