Pat Robertson-Douche-Bag of The Day
Should come as no surprise that Pat Robertson couldn’t pass up the Orlando Massacre as an opportunity to spill some of his hateful bile around the TV. Layering a Muslim, trying to claim he was a terrorist, on top of a massacre of LGBT young people on top of Trump’s America, and it’s hard not to have a “Christian Leader” each day as the douche-bag of the day. Some Republicans are vying for the honor, but since it’s Sunday, let’s go with religion, and so, for thinking Muslims and Gays should be left alone to kill each other, here’s our Douche-bag of the Day Award for Pat Robertson.
Robertson, with his long record of comments against Muslims and homosexuals (who can forget the AIDS rings comments), who he believes are abominations to humanity, appears to be trying to top himself by commenting on the Orlando shootings. Roberson believes that liberal LGBT activists allied themselves with Muslims and are now reaping what they sowed. Here’s what he said:
“The left is having a dilemma of major proportions and I think for those of us who disagree with some of their policies, the best thing to do is to sit on the sidelines and let them kill themselves.”
Robertson has decided that progressives have two favorite groups, Muslims and LGBT, but they have a dilemma because according to him, Muslims hate gays:
“We’re looking at a favored group by the left, the homosexuals, and that in Islam is punishable by death or imprisonment or some sanction, so what are the left going to do? How are they going to describe it? And they don’t know quite what to do now. The fact that this Islamic gentleman opens fire in a gay nightclub and kills almost 50 homosexuals, that says something and tells the fact that Islam is against homosexuality, so the liberals are going to be scrambling to find some rationale, I think they’re going to have a hard time doing it.”
Let’s go to video:
I’d just like to point out that, as I was logging in, the random quote that appeared in the Thought of The Day widget on the blog had this:
During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution.
— James Madison
So, for his ongoing war against the humanity of Muslims and LGBT people, Pat Robertson wins the Douche-bag of the Day award.
