Frightening Christians In the Trump Regime
This one will scare the crap out of you. It is no secret that “7 Mountains Dominionist” cultist, Lance Wallnau, is a big-time covfefe drinker. If you don’t know anything about Dominionism and the 7 Mountains version of it, you really do need to go read that section of this post. This is truly some scary shit, and where Wallnau has gone now will scare you all the more. (Ted Cruz and his father are also adherents to this cult.)
Wallnau is a grifter with his own little cottage industry writing “prophetic” and glowing books about Trump and is an oft-invited speaker on the Krazy Kristian Kook circuit of talk radio and Jesus TV. As Darrell Lucus writes at RTDDaily.com:
“It’s no secret that the religious right has gone all-in for Trump, despite the almost daily outrages coming from this White House. But even by religious right standards, Lance Wallnau is in a class by himself among fundie pastors and pundits who have bowed down to Trump.”
Wallnau slipped up in a YouTube, and gave us all some honest insight to just how far they would go in their support for Trump, and how Nazi-esque they are prepared to become in their hoped-for take-over of the “Mountain of Government.” Wallnau openly wished that Trump could give his Democratic critics the same treatment that dissidents get in Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
Of course, we know they resent the Constitution standing in the way of a dictatorship by their Dear Leader, and blaming Trump’s foes for all his failings and the fact their complete takeover of the country isn’t yet complete. But Wallnau turned to some pretty sinister shit when he said:
“You know, you would not see this in Russia. My gosh, you have somebody coming in on Putin, trying to blame him, claim he’s an incompetent moron, they’re done. They’re taken out back and shot. China? Never a negative word. It’s only in America where liberals destroy our prestige around the globe because they’re mad, because they don’t have power.”
Now before you go running around claiming they’d never say something like that…well, there’s video. In fact, it’s Wallnau’s video.
What they haven’t yet come to realize is that Trump could give a shit about them and their religion and their 7 Mountains cult. He’s using them for his own gain, as he has everyone he’s come into contact with, and he will continue to use Wallnau and his followers so long as he gets something out of it. Like most Dictators though, once well-established, the religious right will get the same treatment as everyone else. As Thomas Jefferson said, “In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.”1
I’d give him Douche Bag award, but this guy is way past that.
