Crazy Heart – A Movie Review

Jeff Bridges stars in this drama based on Thomas Cobb’s first novel about an alcoholic country singer. The musician’s career is going downhill as he watches his protégé’s star ascend, but his encounters with a journalist might just keep him from hitting rock bottom. This one was worth the ticket price, and Jeff Bridges gives a well-deserved Oscar Winning performance.

Quick Change Artists on America’s Got Talent

Okay, this may have been around for a while, but I had not seen it, and I’m amazed. This is a performance by a couple named David and Dania on “America’s Got Talent”. Even in one change, you can kind of see the dress change while it’s on her, but I can not for the life of me figure out how it’s done.

The Goods – A Movie Review

In a desperate attempt to save his rapidly failing used car dealership, Ben Selleck hires a crack team of “car mercenaries” to ramp up sales during the Fourth of July weekend. The characters played their parts well. It’s worth renting.

Unfortunately, the owner of a concert venue in downtown St. Petersburg, Janus Landing, feels no responsibility to help build an inclusive community.

Because Sometimes You Never Know What Someone Can Do

I saw this story of New York High School student, Jason McElwain, when it first aired and was touched by the story. After serving many seasons as the team manager, Jason, a person with autism, was allowed to play the last four minutes of the last game, and wound up scoring 21 points, most from outside the three point line. It’s kind of old news, but someone posted it on Facebook, which brought it back to mind, so I thought I’d link to it here. So this is your chance for a nice feel good story for the day.
