Conservatives Afraid of Thoughtful Books

Human Events, the National Conservative Weekly newsletter asked a panel of 15 conservative scholars and public policy leaders to help them compile a list of the Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th and 20th Centuries. Each panelist nominated a number of titles and then voted on a ballot including all books nominated. And the award goes to…

Among the most harmful were such frightening treatises as:

  • The Kinsey Report
  • Democracy And Education
  • The Feminine Mystique
  • Nietzsche’s Beyond Good and Evil
  • Keynes’ General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money

Books receiving honorable mention included such despicable titles as Darwin’s Origin of The Species and Nader’s Unsafe at Any Speed.

Whoa howdy, let’s have a good ole fashioned book burning.
