This is actually a TV mini-series rather than a movie, and is one of my favorites. I loved and read the series of books several times (something rare for me). It’s a great story of very normal people and how their lives manage to intersect, often in ways unknown to the characters. The original series of books were compilations of a series run in the San Francisco times. Something like this would be enough for me to subscribe to the paper just to keep up with the serial.
