Bush’s Answer to Job Losses-Take a Prozac
Since taking office in 2001 over 1.1 million American jobs have been lost. Wanna know the Bush campaign’s answer to that little problem?
Apparently, during a phone call transfer of a reporter, Susan Sheybani, an assistant to Bush campaign spokesman Terry Holt, was overheard by the reporter to say, “Why don’t they get new jobs if they’re unhappy — or go on Prozac?”
And they have the arrogance to admit making the comment. When told the comment was overheard, her response was to say she was just kidding.
I’ll bet those 1.1 million who are out of work or those working yet living in poverty are just laughing their asses off right about now…after all, it was just a joke.
I see a great campaign ad. “Don’t like your current job situation. The Bush campaign answer…take a prozac, but oh, they must have forgotten, you probably don’t have medical insurance, nor can you afford it since the republicans prevent medicare from negotiating prices, and you can’t go to Canada to get it (because up there their drugs are unsafe).”
