I don’t get a ton of traffic on this site, and have always been disappointed with the lack of comments. I get a few, but I know I have opinionated friends, and would expect a little more from them. I suspect one of the reasons is that this blog is so far ranging in the topics I write about. I’ve read some good articles lately on blogging, and most say to narrow the focus of your blog. The people writing these articles do have very widely read blogs, so one must give them their props.

I've Decided on a Presidential Candidate

I’d written back in February about my relative indifference regarding Clinton and Obama, and had discussed the good and bad points of each. In balancing these back at the time, neither came out as a favorite. I have finally made a decision on who I support as the Democratic nominee. I am supporting Obama, but that support is less than dramatic than that expressed by many of his supporters.

Who to Support for President

We have already held the primary here in Florida, but of course our vote didn’t count (more on that in a minute). At the time John Edwards was still in the race, and I voted for him. I believe he was the most sincere candidate running, and he seemed to have the most radical ideas for change, and some radical change is needed. Of course you know he’s out now, and it’s down to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. So who will I be voting for in the general question? Well frankly, I’m still debating who I hope gets there for the Democrats.

I'm Sure Glad the Primaries Are Over

Well, I guess they’re not, but you’d think the election was all but over given the importance the news channels gave to the Iowa Caucus this week. A couple hundred thousand people voted, and you’d think we could hold the conventions next week given the hoopla given this one caucus by the 24 hour news channels.
