It seems a common refrain, or assumption, that Democrats do not have an overall theme or narrative, and I will certainly agree that the party as a whole does a rather bad job of articulating the message. Supreme Court Litmus Test and Hipocracy

President Bush called attention to Harriet Miers’s religion in order to “patch a growing fissure” amongst conservatives over his Supreme Court nominee. “People are interested to know why I picked Harriet Miers,” he said. “Part of Harriet Miers’s life is her religion.” President Bush shouldn’t exploit Harriet Miers’s faith to rally support for her nomination.

Cheney Gets Richer Thanks to Haliburton

In 2003, Vice President Cheney asserted, “Since I left Halliburton to become George Bush’s vice president, I’ve severed all my ties with the company, gotten rid of all my financial interest. I have no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind and haven’t had, now, for over three years.” That wasn’t true in 2003, and it’s not true now.

Well, this should come as no surprise to anyone. Pat Robertson is now suggesting that the recent rash of natural disasters could be a signal of end times. Its always amazed me that the return of Christ to begin his thousand year reign of love and heavan on earth would be heralded by the death and destruction of millions of innocent individuals.
