Series: Daily Douche-Bag

It’s not a tie; they worked together to create some bullshit “research” to say that LGBT people aren’t really LGB or T. Ryan Anderson, the principal homocon at the right-wing Heritage Foundation is all atwitter about a study, “Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences,” published in the “New Atlantis Journal.” It is just another of those studies, like the Regnerus study of a few years ago, where anti-equality groups bought and paid for a particular result.

A couple of weeks ago, as Hurricane Matthew was churning it’s way up the east coast of Georgie and South Carolina, bearing down on North Carolina, where it ultimately did the most damage, McSquinty was doing what he does best, and whining at a party of bigots.

I haven’t been awarding these much lately, well, because with the Trump Administration, there would be just too many ties each day. But I thought that Julie Gunlock, senior fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum, deserved special recognition for some things she said on a recent edition of Fox and Friends.

I suppose it will come as no surprise to anyone that these two will wind up with multiple DBoTD awards. Along with a number of other fundamentalist nut-jobs, these two are blaming Irma and 9/11 on LGBT people.

There aren’t many days I couldn’t give Trump this award, so I try to save it for the more egregious occasions (which, again, could be almost daily). He gets it to day for his response to the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico. Apparently, he believes they don’t deserve help because they are in debt. (Here’s a mirror Don, how many times have you been bailed out?)

Pat Robertson is yet another of those folks who could make a daily appearance on the Douche Bag of The Day channel, instead, he plys his BS on CBN. The latest is his attempt to blame the Las Vegas shooting on disrespect for his butt-buddy, Donald Trump (there’s an image I’ll have trouble getting out of my mind) and the National Anthem.

If Republicans have any real principles, it is hypocrisy. They never seem to have any problem accepting money to advance whatever culture war issue or policy and imposing it on everyone else, while doing just the opposite in their personal lives. It seems that Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA), couldn’t avoid a little adultery, and some violation of the “sanctity of the unborn child.”

Marva Johnson. Here’s a name you may not know, but you’d better learn who she is, and what here (and apparently her employer’s) agenda is for public education. She also is chair of the Florida State Board of Education, appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in 2014. In addition, In March, the governor appointed her to the 37-member statewide Constitutional Revision Commission.

So Fox News’ Laura Ingraham did what my grandfather would refer to as, “shit and fell back in it,” the other day when she decided it would be great sport to denigrate David Hogg, one of the more public of the Douglas High School shooting survivors. She thought that he didn’t get into some of the universities he’s applied to, she had a license to go after him.

I didn’t go back and look, but it is likely Brian has received our award before. He is, after all, head of the infamous “National Organization for Marriage (NOM) (an SPLC designated hate group). We decided to recognize Brian this time for his heretical efforts to make himself relevant again (and get some money flowing), by using Christ and Easter. Brian claims he’s as persecuted and Jesus was.
